We’re thrilled to welcome Tony Kimmince-Cooke (He/Him) to the LonGBoaT Wakefield team as our new Fundraising Officer!

Tony brings a wealth of experience and passion for making a difference. As the former Chairperson of the Brighouse Fundraising Group (BFG), he led a team of volunteers, ran market stalls, organised car boot sales, and even secured space at Tesco in Brighouse—where his team raised over £2,000 in just one weekend!

Having lost loved ones to cancer and being part of the LGBT+ community himself, Tony is deeply committed to causes that support and uplift others. Though BFG has now closed, Tony’s love for fundraising hasn’t gone anywhere—and we’re so pleased he’s chosen to bring his energy, creativity, and drive to LonGBoaT.

Tony says:

“I miss fundraising so much. I’d love the opportunity to help raise funds for the LGBTQ+ community, being gay myself. I want to bring fresh ideas and make a real impact again.”

We're excited to see what Tony will achieve with us, and we know his passion will inspire many.

You can get in touch with Tony at: tony@longboatwakefield.org

Welcome to the crew, Tony!
