We are proud to announce that, in partnership with West Yorkshire Police, LonGBoaT Wakefield is set to become a Hate Crime Reporting Centre (HCRC). This means that you will soon be able to report hate crimes and incidents in a safe, supportive, and confidential space at any of our sessions or by booking an appointment with us.

We have agreed in principle to take on this vital role and are currently working with our Trustees and West Yorkshire Police to complete the necessary training. Once this is in place, we will be fully operational as a Hate Crime Reporting Centre.

What is a Hate Crime Reporting Centre?

A Hate Crime Reporting Centre (HCRC) is a designated space where individuals can report hate crimes or incidents without needing to go directly to the police. HCRCs provide:

✔️ Trained Staff & Volunteers – Who understand and can help navigate the reporting process.
✔️ Confidentiality – Your report is taken seriously and handled with care.
✔️ Direct Liaison with the Police – Ensuring your concerns reach the right channels.
